Fit & Care

A Via Sud cap is made to be worn for years — and to grow more beautiful with you. Here's how it sits right and stays good for longer.

The Fit

Every style is an unstructured 6-panel dad cap: a soft, low-profile crown that adapts to your head shape, and a slightly curved brim. No stiff high-profile — Via Sud sits low, relaxed and easy.

FIT

Loose & lowClassic—

One size: adjustable brass closure at the back, fits most head sizes (approx. 55–61 cm).
Adjusting: simply pull the brass slider or buckle tighter or looser — it holds its position reliably.
Feel: soft from the start, no breaking-in required.

The Care

01 · Wash

By hand

When needed, in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Avoid hot machine cycles — this protects colour and shape.

02 · Shape

Dry over a form

While damp, lay it over a rounded form (a can or bowl) so the crown keeps its soft curve.

03 · Dry

Air dry

Always air dry — never tumble. Heat damages cotton and tarnishes brass faster.

Treat stains locally with a damp cloth instead of washing the whole cap.
The brass is allowed to develop a patina — it's part of the character. If you prefer it shiny, gently polish with a dry cloth.
Sun-washed tones shift slightly over time — that's intended: "worn-in from day one".

Made to last

Via Sud deliberately relies on timeless design and durable materials rather than fast trends. A cap you wear for years is the most sustainable cap. Details on material sourcing and production will follow once manufacturing is confirmed.
